of <h1>Meghalaya Amends GST Notification: Changes to Essential Oils Classification, Including Peppermint, Effective January 2023.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has amended Notification No. ERTS(T) 65/2017/4, dated June 29, 2017, under the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective January 1, 2023, the amendment modifies the table entries for S. No. 3A, specifying certain essential oils other than citrus, including peppermint and various mint oils. The change affects transactions involving any unregistered or registered person. The amendment was issued by the Secretary of the Excise, Registration, Taxation & Stamps Department of Meghalaya.
