These awards recognize the exemplary service of various officers and staff members within the CBIC, Department of Revenue. The recipients include high-ranking officials such as Principal Chief Commissioners, Commissioners, and Senior Intelligence Officers, among others, from various zones and directorates across the country. The awards are granted under the scheme outlined in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, as per the amended notification from November 1962.
