of <h1>Madhya Pradesh Amends GST Act: New Tax Rates for Alcohol, Cereals, and Juice Drinks Effective January 2023.</h1> The Madhya Pradesh State Government has amended its notification dated June 29, 2017, under the Madhya Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendments involve changes in tax rates for specific items. In Schedule I (2.5%), ethyl alcohol supplied to oil companies and certain residues from cereals are specified. In Schedule II (6%), fruit pulp or juice-based drinks and educational boxes are detailed. In Schedule III (9%), denatured ethyl alcohol is addressed, excluding supplies to oil companies. These amendments are effective from January 1, 2023, as per the order of the Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
