<h1>India Amends Customs Tariffs on Australian Imports Under ECTA; New Rates for Olive Oil, Wine, and More Effective 2023</h1> The Government of India, under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended the customs tariff for specific goods imported from Australia as part of the second tranche of tariff concessions under the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA). Effective January 1, 2023, the amendments include changes to the classification and duty rates for various products such as olive-derived crude oils, meat products, graphite filters, machinery, photovoltaic generators, and flat panel display modules. Additionally, specific tariff rates are set for wine based on the CIF value per 750ml bottle. Further amendments are noted in a corrigendum dated January 6, 2023.
