of <h1>Meghalaya Implements GST Amendment Ordinance: Sections 2-15 (Excluding Some), 16 & 17 Effective; Retroactive Clauses Noted.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has issued a notification to bring into effect various sections of the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022. Effective from October 1, 2022, Sections 2 to 15, excluding certain clauses, and Sections 16 and 17 will be enforced. Specific clauses of Section 13 and Section 15, along with Section 16, are retroactively effective from July 1, 2017. Section 17 is effective from June 22, 2017. This notification has been issued by the Commissioner and Secretary of the Excise, Registration, Taxation & Stamps Department of Meghalaya.
