of <h1>Jharkhand Government Amends Tax Rate to 6% for S. No. 1, Effective July 18, 2022, u/s 11(1).</h1> The Government of Jharkhand has issued Notification No. 8/2022 - State Tax (Rate) on 23rd August 2022, amending Notification No. 3/2017 - State Tax (Rate) dated 29th June 2017. This amendment, effective from 18th July 2022, involves a change in the tax rate specified in the notification's table, substituting the existing rate with '6%' for the entry against S. No. 1. This amendment is made under the authority granted by section 11(1) of the Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following the Council's recommendations.
