of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: DEC Tablets Duty-Free, S. No. 404 Duty Revised to 12.</h1> The Government of India issued Notification No. 40/2022-Customs to amend Notification No. 50/2017-Customs, effective from July 18, 2022. The amendments include the insertion of a new serial number 213A for Diethylcarbamazine (DEC) tablets with a nil customs duty and IGST. Additionally, the customs duty rate for S. No. 404 is revised to 12%. The notification also specifies that importers must provide a certificate from a designated government officer for goods supplied free for the National Filaria Control Programme or other related programs.
