of <h1>India Rescinds 2017 Union Territory Tax Notification u/s 8(1) of GST Act, Effective July 18, 2022.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 11/2022 under the Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, rescinding Notification No. 45/2017-Union Territory Tax (Rate) dated November 14, 2017. This action is taken under the authority granted by section 8(1) of the Act, following recommendations from the Council. The rescission does not affect actions taken or omitted before this notification. The new notification will be effective from July 18, 2022.
