of <h1>India Raises IGST Rate on Some Inter-State Supplies from 5% to 12% Effective July 18, 2022.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 08/2022 to amend Notification No. 3/2017-Integrated Tax (Rate), dated June 28, 2017. This amendment increases the concessional Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) rate on certain inter-State supplies from 5% to 12%. The change is made under the powers conferred by the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and will take effect on July 18, 2022. This adjustment follows recommendations from the Council and updates the entry in the notification's table against Serial No. 1.
