of <h1>Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds Scheme Specified u/s 115ACA for Tax Assessment from 2000-2001 Onwards.</h1> The Central Government has specified the 'Issue of Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds and Ordinary Shares (Through Depository Receipt Mechanism) Scheme, 1993' under section 115ACA of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This notification, dated March 28, 2000, identifies the scheme as applicable for the assessment year 2000-2001 and subsequent years. The scheme was initially notified by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, on November 12, 1993, under notification No. GSR 700(E).
