of <h1>Andhra Pradesh Amends GST Act: Fly Ash Bricks and More Now Taxed at 6% Effective April 2022.</h1> The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued an amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, specifically modifying the notification Go.MS.No.258 from June 29, 2017. Effective April 1, 2022, the amendment involves changes in tax schedules: certain entries in Schedule I at 2.5% are omitted, while new entries are added to Schedule II at 6%. These new entries include fly ash bricks, bricks of fossil meals, building bricks, and earthen or roofing tiles. The changes are made following recommendations from the Goods and Services Tax Council.
