of <h1>Kerala Amends GST Notification: Changes in Tax Rates for Woven Bags and Bulk Containers, Effective January 2020.</h1> The Government of Kerala issued amendments to Notification G.O.(P) No.62/2017/TAXES, effective January 1, 2020, under the Kerala State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The changes include the omission of certain entries in Schedule II, which carries a 6% tax rate, specifically S. No. 80AA and S. No. 171A. Additionally, new entries have been added to Schedule III, which carries a 9% tax rate, including S. No. 163B for woven and non-woven bags and S. No. 163C for flexible intermediate bulk containers. These amendments align with decisions from the GST Council Meeting.
