of <h1>Central Government Amends 2019 Notification; Updates Tax Provisions for Fly Ash Bricks and Roofing Tiles Under UTGST Act 2017.</h1> The Central Government, under the Union Territory Goods and Services Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. 02/2019-Union Territory Tax, dated March 7, 2019. Effective April 1, 2022, the amendment adds new entries to the notification's table, including fly ash bricks or aggregates with 90% or more fly ash content, bricks of fossil meals or similar siliceous earths, building bricks, and earthen or roofing tiles. This change follows recommendations from the Council and aims to update the tax provisions under the Union Territory GST framework.
