of <h1>Mizoram Amends GST Rates on Essential Oils: New Entries for Peppermint, Spearmint, and More Effective Oct 1, 2021.</h1> The Government of Mizoram has issued Notification No. 10/2021 to amend Notification No. 4/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Mizoram Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from October 1, 2021, the amendment introduces new entries in the tax rate table for certain essential oils, specifically those of peppermint and other mints like spearmint, water mint, horsemint, and bergamot. These changes apply to both registered and unregistered persons. The amendment was made under the authority of the Governor of Mizoram, following recommendations from the Council.
