of <h1>Telangana Amends GST Tax Rates: Changes in Schedules II & III for Bags and Containers Effective Jan 2020.</h1> The Government of Telangana has issued Notification No. 27/2019 to amend Notification No. 1/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Telangana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from January 1, 2020, the amendments involve changes in tax rates for specific goods. In Schedule II, serial numbers 80AA and 171A are omitted. In Schedule III, new entries are added for woven and non-woven bags and sacks of polyethylene or polypropylene, and flexible intermediate bulk containers. These amendments are made under the authority of sections 9(1) and 15(5) of the Telangana GST Act, following the Council's recommendations.
