of <h1>India Amends Customs Tariff Exemptions; Removes Obsolete Entries Effective February 2022, Expires March 2024.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, issued Notification No. 14/2022-Customs to amend Notification No. 25/1999-Customs, dated 28th February 1999. This amendment, effective from 2nd February 2022, aims to remove redundant and obsolete entries from the customs tariff exemptions. The notification specifies numerous changes, including the omission of certain serial numbers and the substitution of entries related to various electronic components and materials. The amended notification will cease to apply after 31st March 2024. The changes are made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, to serve public interest.
