of <h1>India Amends Customs Notifications, Omits Redundant Entries from 2017 Tariff Act Schedules Starting February and May 2022.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 06/2022-Customs, amending previous notifications 52/2017-Customs and 37/2017-Customs, both dated June 30, 2017. The amendments involve the removal of specific entries from the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act and other redundant entries. Specifically, entries numbered 6 and 7 in Notification 37/2017 will be omitted starting February 2, 2022, and entries numbered 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 11 in Notification 52/2017 will be omitted starting May 1, 2022. These changes are made in the public interest under the Customs Act, 1962.
