Under the authority of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and following the Council's recommendations, the exemption applies to medicines such as Tocilizumab and Amphotericin B, which are fully exempt, and others like Remdesivir, Heparin, and Favipiravir, which are taxed at a reduced rate of 2.5%. This notification is effective from October 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021.
