of <h1>Central Government Cancels SEZ Status for 2.34 Hectares in Karnataka; Land to Become IT/ITES Park.</h1> The Central Government has rescinded Notification Number S.O.1131(E) dated 31st March 2017, which designated 2.34 hectares as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT/ITES in Byatarayanapura Village, Karnataka. The rescission follows a proposal by a company to denotify the area, with no objection from the Karnataka State Government and a recommendation from the Development Commissioner of the Cochin SEZ. The land will now be used for an IT/ITES Park, as per the No Objection Certificate issued by the Karnataka Government.
