No. 363/2017, introducing changes effective from October 1, 2021. The amendment, under the Kerala State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, adds specific essential oils, excluding citrus fruit oils, to the list of goods subject to reverse charge. This includes oils like peppermint, spearmint, water mint, horsemint, and bergamot. Under this amendment, any registered or unregistered person receiving these intra-state supplies must pay the state tax on a reverse charge basis. This change follows the recommendations from the 45th Goods and Services Tax Council meeting.
