of <h1>Bihar GST Amendment: New Entry 3A for Essential Oils in Notification No. 04/2017 Effective October 1, 2021.</h1> The Governor of Bihar, following the Council's recommendations, has amended Notification No. 04/2017-State Tax (Rate) from June 29, 2017, under the Bihar Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective October 1, 2021, the amendment introduces a new entry, 3A, to the existing table. This entry specifies certain essential oils, including peppermint and various mints, under specific tariff headings. The amendment applies to transactions involving both unregistered and registered persons. The notification was issued by the Commissioner of State Tax-cum-Secretary, Dr. Pratima, on September 30, 2021.
