The amendment, effective from 27-11-2020, includes two key changes: the insertion of the phrase 'a Special Economic Zone unit and' before certain references, and the substitution of the monetary threshold from 'one hundred crore rupees' to 'five hundred crore rupees.' These changes were made on the recommendation of the Council and are ordered by the Chief Secretary of the Government of Telangana.
