of <h1>Customs Act Amendment: New Tariff Entries with 7.5% and 37.5% Duty Rates Effective August 20, 2021.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended Notification No. 34/2021-Customs dated 29th June 2021. Effective from 20th August 2021, this amendment introduces new tariff entries in the customs notification. The newly inserted entries specify customs duty rates for certain goods under specified tariff headings, including a 7.5% duty for goods under headings 1507 10 00 and 1512 11 10, and a 37.5% duty for goods under headings 1507 90 10 and 1512 19 10. This amendment aims to serve the public interest as determined by the government.
