of <h1>Meghalaya Amends GST Notification: State Tax on Certain Services Set at 2.5% Until September 30, 2021.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has amended Notification No. ERTS (T) 65/2017/11, dated June 29, 2017, under the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from June 14, 2021, until September 30, 2021, the state tax on services specified in clause (f) of the original notification will be levied at a rate of 2.5%, regardless of the rate previously specified. This amendment is made in the public interest based on recommendations from the Council. The notification is issued by the Commissioner and Secretary of the Excise, Registration, Taxation & Stamps Department.
