of <h1>Gujarat Amends Interest Rates for Late GST Payments Effective May 18, 2021; Different Rates Based on Turnover Levels.</h1> The Government of Gujarat issued Notification No. 18/2021-State Tax, amending the interest rates for late tax payments under the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from May 18, 2021, the amendment modifies Notification No. 13/2017-State Tax. For taxpayers with turnovers above Rs. 5 crores, the interest is 9% for the first 15 days and 18% thereafter for March to May 2021. For those with turnovers up to Rs. 5 crores, the interest is nil for the first 15 days, 9% for the next 45 days for March, 30 days for April, and 15 days for May, then 18% thereafter.
