of <h1>India Updates Union Territory GST: New CGST Rate for Goods, Adds Diethylcarbamazine Entry in Schedule I, Effective June 2, 2021.</h1> The Government of India issued Notification No. 01/2021 to amend the Union Territory Tax (Rate) under the Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from June 2, 2021, the amendment modifies Notification No. 1/2017 by changing the CGST rate of goods. Specifically, in Schedule I, the entry for S. No. 259A is updated to '9503,' and in List 1, a new entry for 'Diethylcarbamazine' is added after serial number 230. This notification follows recommendations from the Council and updates prior amendments, including Notification No. 03/2020.
