of <h1>India Amends CGST Rate Notification: Updates to Schedule I Include 'Diethylcarbamazine' and Entry '9503' Changes.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 01/2021-Central Tax (Rate) to amend the earlier Notification No. 1/2017-Central Tax (Rate) concerning the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) rate of goods. Effective from June 2, 2021, the amendment modifies Schedule I by substituting the entry '9503' against S. No. 259A and adds 'Diethylcarbamazine' as entry 231 in List 1. This change is enacted under the powers granted by the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following the Council's recommendations.
