of <h1>Bennett University Gains Tax Approval for Research u/s 35 of Income-tax Act, Effective 2020-2025.</h1> The Central Government has approved Bennett University in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, under the Income-tax Act, 1961, for scientific and social science research. This approval falls under clauses (ii) and (iii) of sub-section (1) of section 35 of the Act, in conjunction with rules 5C and 5E of the Income-tax Rules, 1962. The notification, effective from the assessment year 2020-2021, applies to subsequent years up to 2024-2025. It is confirmed that this notification does not adversely affect any individual by its retrospective application.
