<h1>Tripura Amends GST Rules: HSN Digit Requirements Based on Turnover Effective April 2021.</h1> The Government of Tripura issued a notification amending the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, effective from April 1, 2021. The amendment specifies the number of Harmonised System of Nomenclature (HSN) digits required on tax invoices based on aggregate turnover. Businesses with a turnover up to five crores must use four HSN digits, while those exceeding five crores must use six digits. However, businesses with a turnover up to five crores in the previous financial year are not required to mention HSN digits when issuing invoices to unregistered persons.
