of <h1>Maharashtra Tax Commissioner Rescinds 2020 GST Notification u/s 168 and Rule 61(5) for Public Interest.</h1> The Commissioner of State Tax, Maharashtra, exercising authority under section 168 of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and rule 61(5) of the Maharashtra GST Rules, 2017, has rescinded Notification No. 76/2020-State Tax dated October 20, 2020. This decision, made in the public interest and based on the Council's recommendations, was formalized through Notification No. 86/2020-State Tax on November 12, 2020. The rescission does not affect actions taken or omitted before this notification.
