of <h1>Government Rescinds SEZ Notification for IT Services in Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh; 21.36 Hectares De-notified.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has rescinded Notification No. S.O. 344(E) dated February 15, 2008, which established a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT-enabled services in Cuddapah District, Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (APIIC) had initially proposed the SEZ, but has now sought to de-notify the entire 21.36 hectares. The State Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Development Commissioner of the Visakhapatnam SEZ have supported this proposal. The rescission is effective immediately, except for actions taken prior to this decision.
