of <h1>West Bengal exempts ISRO, Antrix, and New Space India satellite launch services from SGST, effective October 16, 2020.</h1> The Government of West Bengal has amended notification No. 1136-F.T. dated 28.06.2017 to exempt satellite launch services provided by the Indian Space Research Organisation, Antrix Corporation Limited, or New Space India Limited from the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST). This amendment, effective from October 16, 2020, adds a new entry (19C) to the existing notification, specifying that these services will not attract any SGST. The decision was made under various sections of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following recommendations from the Council, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
