of <h1>Himachal Pradesh exempts satellite launch services from state tax under amended Notification No. 12/2017 effective October 16, 2020.</h1> The notification amends Notification No. 12/2017-State Tax (Rate) dated June 30, 2017, issued by the Himachal Pradesh Excise and Taxation Department. Effective October 16, 2020, it introduces a new entry, 19C, in the table of the original notification. This entry specifies that satellite launch services provided by Indian Space Research Organization, Antrix Corporation Limited, or New Space India Limited are exempt from state tax. The amendment is enacted under the Himachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following recommendations from the Council, as deemed necessary in the public interest.
