of <h1>Gujarat amends GST Act to exempt ISRO, Antrix, and New Space India from state tax on satellite launches.</h1> The Government of Gujarat issued a notification amending the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, to exempt satellite launch services provided by the Indian Space Research Organisation, Antrix Corporation Limited, and New Space India Limited from state tax. This exemption, recommended by the Goods and Services Tax Council, is deemed necessary in the public interest. The amendment adds a new entry, 19C, to the existing notification, specifying that these services will have a nil tax rate. This change is effective from October 16, 2020.
