of <h1>Meghalaya Reduces Late Fees for 2017-18 and 2018-19 GSTR-4 Filings; Waiver Available Until October 31, 2020.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has issued a notification to waive or reduce the late fee for registered persons who did not file FORM GSTR-4 for the financial years 2017-18 and 2018-19. This waiver applies if the returns are submitted between September 22, 2020, and October 31, 2020. The late fee under section 47 of the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act 2017 is reduced to 250 rupees, and fully waived if no central tax is payable in the return. This amendment is made under the powers conferred by sections 128 and 148 of the Act.
