of <h1>Government Amends GST Rule 48(4) to Broaden Financial Year Definition and Include Export Transactions.</h1> The Government, upon the Council's recommendation, has amended Notification No. 13/2020 - Central Tax, dated March 21, 2020. The amendments include substituting 'a financial year' with 'any preceding financial year from 2017-18 onwards' and adding 'or for exports' after 'goods or services or both to a registered person.' These changes are made under the powers conferred by sub-rule (4) of rule 48 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, as per Notification No. 70/2020 - Central Tax, dated September 30, 2020.
