This extension is enacted under the authority of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Second Amendment) Act, 2020. This measure aims to provide temporary relief from insolvency proceedings due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on September 24, 2020.
