of <h1>Nagaland GST Act 2017 mandates Aadhaar authentication for certain roles; alternatives provided u/r 9 if Aadhaar unavailable.</h1> The Government of Nagaland, under the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, mandates that certain classes of persons, including authorized signatories, managing and authorized partners of partnership firms, and Karta of Hindu undivided families, must authenticate their Aadhaar numbers for GST registration. This requirement is effective from April 1, 2020. If Aadhaar numbers are not available, alternative identification methods as per rule 9 of the Nagaland GST Rules, 2017, will be provided.
