Nagaland GST Act: Aadhaar Authentication Required for Registration u/r 8; Alternatives Available per Rule 9 from April 2020.

The Government of Nagaland's Finance Department issued a notification under the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, specifying that individuals must undergo Aadhaar authentication to be eligible for registration as per rule 8 of the Nagaland GST Rules, 2017. If an Aadhaar number is not assigned, alternate identification methods will be provided according to rule 9. This requirement is effective from April 1, 2020, following recommendations from the Council.
