of <h1>Meghalaya GST Amendment Waives Late Fees for Delayed GSTR-1 Filings for Specified 2020 Periods. Relief for Taxpayers.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya, under the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended a previous notification to waive late fees for registered taxpayers who delayed submitting their outward supply statements in FORM GSTR-1. This waiver applies to monthly filers for the periods from March to June 2020 and quarterly filers from January to June 2020. Taxpayers must submit these statements by specified dates in July and August 2020 to benefit from the waiver. This decision follows recommendations from the GST Council and aims to provide relief during the specified tax periods.
