of <h1>Assam GST Rules Amended: New Provisions u/r 46 Effective April 1, 2020, Following Council Recommendations.</h1> The Government of Assam, through the Finance (Taxation) Department, has issued a notification under the Assam GST Rules, 2017, specifically invoking the powers granted by the sixth proviso to clause (q) of rule 46. This notification, dated March 17, 2020, states that the provisions of the amended rule will be effective from April 1, 2020. This follows a prior notification made on September 5, 2019, and published in the Assam Gazette. The implementation is based on the recommendations of the Council, as ordered by the Governor of Assam.
