of <h1>Meghalaya Government Waives Late Fees for GSTR-1 Filings (July 2017-Nov 2019) Submitted by Jan 10, 2020 u/s 47.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has amended Notification No. 4/2018-State Tax to waive the late fee under section 47 of the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This waiver applies to registered persons who failed to submit their GSTR-1 forms for the periods from July 2017 to November 2019 by the due date but do so between December 19, 2019, and January 10, 2020. This amendment is effective from December 19, 2019, as per the powers granted under section 128 of the Act, following recommendations from the Council.
