of <h1>Maharashtra GST Rules Amended: Rule 67A Allows Nil Returns via SMS with OTP Verification from July 2020.</h1> The Maharashtra Government issued the Eighth Amendment to the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, effective from July 1, 2020. This amendment modifies Rule 67A, allowing registered persons to furnish a Nil return or Nil details of outward supplies via a short messaging service (SMS) using a registered mobile number. This process includes verification through a One Time Password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile number. Nil returns or details are defined as those with no entries in all tables of FORM GSTR-3B or FORM GSTR-1 for a tax period.
