of <h1>Maharashtra Offers Late Fee Waiver for Tax Returns from July 2017 to July 2020 if Filed by September 30.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra has amended Notification No. 52/2020-State Tax to provide a conditional waiver of late fees for registered persons who failed to furnish returns for the period from July 2017 to July 2020. If these returns are submitted by September 30, 2020, the late fee exceeding 250 rupees will be waived, and fully waived for taxpayers with no central tax payable. This waiver also applies to taxpayers with an aggregate turnover exceeding 5 crores for returns due from May to July 2020, provided they file by the same deadline. The notification is effective from June 25, 2020.
