of <h1>Tripura Amends State GST: New Tax Rates for Hydrocarbon Operations and Non-Serviceable Goods Effective October 1, 2019.</h1> The Government of Tripura issued Notification No. 16/2019 to amend Notification No. 3/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Tripura State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from October 1, 2019, the amendment introduces a new item under petroleum or coal bed methane operations in specified contracts under the Hydrocarbon Exploration Licensing Policy or Open Acreage Licensing Policy. Additionally, a proviso allows recipients or transferees to pay a 9% tax on non-serviceable goods after mutilation, subject to certification by the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons.
