The amendment, issued on August 22, 2017, introduces a new clause regarding services such as housekeeping, plumbing, and carpentering. These services are exempt from registration requirements unless supplied through an electronic commerce operator, in which case the supplier must register under section 22(1) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act. This amendment is based on recommendations from the Council.
