of <h1>Meghalaya Enforces Section 128 of Finance Act, 2020, Amending MGST Act, Effective July 1, 2017, Per New Ordinance.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has issued a notification to enforce Section 128 of the Finance Act, 2020, amending Section 140 of the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax (MGST) Act, effective from July 1, 2017. This is executed under the powers of the Meghalaya Goods Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020. The provisions of Section 11 of the Ordinance will be effective from May 18, 2020, as per the notification by the Excise, Registration, Taxation, and Stamps Department.
