of <h1>CBDT Amends Notification S.O. 548(E) Under Section 120, Updates Roles for East Region Income-tax Officials</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has issued an amendment to Notification No. S.O. 548(E) dated 9th July 1990, under the authority of section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This amendment revises the entries for serial number 27 in the schedule of the original notification. The updated entries now designate specific roles for the Director-General of Income-tax (Investigation) in the East region, including positions for Commissioners and Directors of Income-tax in Calcutta, Patna, Gauhati, and Bhubaneshwar.
