of <h1>Sikkim GST Act Update: Late Fee for Delayed FORM GSTR-5 Filing Reduced to Ease Taxpayer Burden u/s 128.</h1> The Government of Sikkim, under section 128 of the Sikkim Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has reduced the late fee for delayed filing of FORM GSTR-5. The late fee is now capped at twenty-five rupees per day for registered persons failing to submit the return by the due date. If the state tax payable is nil, the late fee is reduced to ten rupees per day. This adjustment aims to alleviate the financial burden on taxpayers who miss the filing deadline.
