Specifically, the exemption applies to non-citizens of India and excludes specific classes of persons, namely individuals, authorized signatories, managing and authorized partners, and the Karta of a Hindu undivided family. This notification, effective from April 1, 2020, outlines the categories of persons to whom sub-sections (6B) and (6C) of Section 25 of the Act do not apply.
